Bob, Donna, Linda and I spent a few days in the Downieville area this week.  We stayed at the Riverside Inn located at the confluence of the Downie and Yuba Rivers.  Linda and Donna did some grocery shopping and we ate great food at bargain prices.  It was especially economical for me and Bob - we even escaped having to do dishes.

The scenery in this area is spectacular - the equal of any I've ever seen.  There were very few people out and about making it seem as if we had the whole area to ourselves.  We even took a short hike to Frazier Falls - not much water but great views.
